By the way, http://tourney.forumpro.fr/tourney-rules-f5/games-type-rules-t4.htm says that ropeknocking is not allowed.

How is Intermediate not default?

And no, we all don't know. That's why you should make the rules clearer.

The scheme will always be terribly lucky for whoever goes first, it's common they kill two worms the first turn and second turn is always at a big disadvtantage with this.

Yes, so? Besides that you want more luck involved....

The scheme is not so terrible lucky, every scheme has luck issues... even the wind is a form of luck factor you can't control.

And about positions at start, it has been discussed already, other like it and others who want placement at start don't.

But hey isn't it this way in life too? You don't start from the same positions but still you can be first if you are good no matter of posis.I lost many games with 2-3 kills at start because i was too self assured, and i won many games with disadvantage cuz i was motivated to think...
And that's why i play 99% caves cuz no easy noob plops...

Just pointing out that 2nd player usually will have a 1-2 worm disadvantage no matter what at start. I prefer cave maps, too.

No, it's not no matter what... depends on map and positions and on player... too many variables to consider.

I played many games with 1st move and so bad positions that i had to waste 2 or all 3 ws to put my wormies in safe places and no time for a lightside attack...

So, not true, depends on too much stuff and yes mostly cave reduces that risk.

Lol Antares islands rocks! Creativ fast thinking, multi kills winning round with 5 worm adventage>< double kill at start is totally normal in this schemme islands and caves too! Bad luck is when someone kill U 3,4 or 5! worms in first turn:P my worst was when Libre killed me 6 Sad

My oppinion remains the same... and it's the same after first year i played.

And double kill at start is much more often in noob maps and islands... in caves it can happened only in low ground caves and napalm or mine proximity, and if u check map with editor you can avoid that but water and noob kills in island you can't avoid.

Like i sayed to a wormer who started to play normal and missed the action from rope games:

-if you want action go play a shooter don't spoil the beauty of worms Razz

Geez NNN guys, you're being pretty rude. Act a bit more mature.

Given the rather high abilities of most NNN in playing Intermediate, using Luckless is similar to an unfair "home field advantage" against those that usually play [Intermediate]. Someone from NNN will probably win anyways...

I agree that Luckless is a better scheme, but I don't agree that this makes it more appropriate for this tournament.

I voted for the default, but why not W:A [Intermediate] be default unless both players agree on
[NNNxLuckless]? That makes most sense, considering that this isn't an
NNN-sponsored event.

Like Dario sayed once... a dud mine or crate can spoil a well planed tactic attack or maybe even defense strategy...

I don't think luckless is a drawback for others (non NNN'ers) because basically it's same scheme, but without the risk of some1 saying :
''if that wasn't a dud...'' , or '' if you didn't picked the nana'', or '' damn lucky crate'' (after you shoot the crate to kill his worm'' ... and so on...

Why? I guess 90% of this cup was played using luckless ... look at poll... it's 20 vs 7 votes, so i think it's a clear result of intermediate players preferences.
